Does anyone else have problems with their pet disappearing after a cut scene and not getting them back?

I had this problem months ago and reported it to Anet. The only response I got was that they would evaluate the situation and decide if anything needs done. Well it kept becoming a problem and lead me to deleting my first Ranger because I liked playing with the pet, but the pet was always getting lost. So now a few months later I tried out another ranger and currently have a pet. I was playing in Nolani Academy mission and when the first cut scene at the wall happened I was still back at the academy. After the scene I was transported to the wall but my pet was not and it never came back during the mission.

I plan on eventually not using a pet, but in the meantime, its really annoying to put so much into beast mastery and not being able to use it. Just wondering if others have this problem also and if they have reported it.

I suspect it is in the wrong forum, but it doesn't bother me.

Usually I'll see my pet playing center stage in the cutscene. She likes the spotlight. Does your pet appear during the cinematic?

Did he/she die and you can't resurrect it, or is the pet's name gone from your party window altogether, as if you never equipped Charm Animal for the mission? Very strange indeed.

It was alive
It was still in party screen
It wasnt in the cut scene (or I didnt notice it)
It just didnt teleport with me and it didnt run back to me like it usually does.

Play a country music record backwards, you get your pet back, your house back and your wife back. Well maby unplug it when it gets to your wife, but at least you can get your pet back.

Yes, often my pets and minions don't get warped with me after a cutscene, and for places where you travel long distances, or to otherwise inaccessible regions, that means losing the use of them. At least you can recover minions, your pet's another story altogther.

Haven't done beastmastery in PvE for a while now, not sure if it's still the same way though.

It's unfortunatley a very common and very annoying bug. The worst offender is the Dragon's Lair mission, in my opinion. In most of the other missions you can run back after the cutscene is over and retrieve your pet, if you have a patient group. Your pet is still alive, it's just stuck back on a wall or some such and is unable to run to you. Sometimes the extreme distance also confuses the pet's AI, so it won't try to follow you after a cutscene leap. Dragon's Lair, however, doesn't give you that option. The only way between the areas are those blasted cutscenes, which usually leave the pet behind (although if you don't skip the cutscene, you've got a small chance of keeping your pet).

I do wish they'd do something about it.

I came on here today to post about this very topic! I like to keep my pet with me for missions-she's very helpful with BM 10 and Symbiotic Bond (My Troll Unguent is enough to keep me alive when she's taking all the hits), but if I die and someone continues on to the cutscene, I've essentially got 3 empty skill slots. It's infinitely annoying.

I have to make sure that the entire group intends to fight their way-which is tricky later on because 1) there are 6 people or more in the group and 2) few people pay much attention to the rangers inquiries-so that I can plan ahead and take my pet. If anyone even suggests "running it", Ungoliant (my dire black widow) stays in her cage
